We pick you up at your accommodation and take you to 2–3 strategic viewpoints in Serra da Estrela where, far from any light, we contemplate the sky with the naked eye while the guide shares stories about the constellations, visible planets and the Milky Way. No equipment, no fuss: just sky, mountain and a homemade snack. Perfect for those who want to enjoy the night sky in total comfort.

Do I need previous experience?
No. Our activities are designed for all levels. The guide adapts the pace and difficulty to the group, so anyone in reasonable physical condition can join.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We assess conditions in the 24h before. If it's unsafe to go ahead, we'll reschedule or fully refund. Light rain usually doesn't cancel — the mountain is beautiful under clouds too.
How do I book and pay?
Book through the online form or WhatsApp. We confirm availability within 24 hours. Payment is made after confirmation via bank transfer or MB Way — nothing is charged before we confirm.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48h before the activity, with full refund. Within 48h, the date can be changed subject to availability.
What languages are the activities run in?
Our guides run the activities in Portuguese, English and Spanish. If you would prefer another language, tell us when booking and we will confirm availability.
Are the activities suitable for people with reduced mobility?
It depends on the activity. The 4x4 tours and the Douro boat tours are the most accessible, since most of the time is spent in the vehicle or on board, with short stops. Trails and night hikes involve uneven ground. Talk to us before booking and we will point you to the best option.
Do you cater for vegetarians or food allergies?
For experiences that include a meal or tasting, tell us about any dietary restrictions when booking. We confirm them in advance with the local producers and restaurants we work with.
Do you use a telescope?
No. This experience is designed to be naked-eye, with the guide pointing out constellations, planets and the Milky Way. We believe it's the most immersive and relaxing way to enjoy the Serra sky.
Is transport included?
Yes. We pick you up at your accommodation in Serra da Estrela, take you to 2–3 strategic viewpoints and bring you back at the end.
How long does it last?
Up to 2h30, including travel between viewpoints.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, from age 6 accompanied by an adult. It's a calm, contemplative activity.
What if it's very cold?
We recommend warm layered clothing. Part of the night we're inside the vehicle between viewpoints, which helps you warm up.
Is it good even outside new moon nights?
Serra da Estrela has some of Portugal's darkest skies. On new moon nights you see the Milky Way with the naked eye; otherwise we focus on planets, constellations and bright clusters.
